spam killed this board

This board has been ruined by spam.

I am considering putting up a new, non spam mailart board.

Not interested in philosophical crap about what is spam, we all know whats going on here.

It's abusive and has killed this board.

Hi sci sam,
This brings up the concepts of "friend" and "knowing". Have you ever met Merlin in a face-to-face? No,? but here you have know him and feel him as a friend for five years. At one time mail art created penpals allover the world who never met but knew each other closely as friends. Now the internet as magnified this concept of long distance friendship. Does anybody have any comments on this subject? How are your mail art friends different from real-time friends?

After ten? years I met Ryosuke Cohen from Japan in Germany.

He painted a Body-Portrait from Merlin after he worked with
thousands of my original mutltiples I sent him for his Brain Cell Project.
One of the exclusive participations of mine was sending 150 mirrors
engraved with the word "GOD" on it postcardsized he glued into his
Zen-Project-Wallpaper.

This was a wonderful evening last month meeting a lot of persons
i never met personally before. Real important for me, very impressive.
Ryosuke and me are in officialy Art-Museums of Visual Poetry in Japan
and Germany together

Merlin.

Interesting, Ryosuke came to you or you've met at any artistic event (possibly, MAIL ART MEKKA XX, organized by Peter Netmail)?

No dear Gik Jury ,
Ryosuke visited Hamburg, not Minden.

We worked together at Hamburg.

Yes, both the feather(bird) and the skeleton were popular motifs being used repeatedly in that mail art call. I think that has been the biggest call that I've participated in to date.

Oh, I was away from any computer access for a few days but I'm back in connection now. I'm posting a call I just got in the mail from Claudio Romeo over on the call board.

I find it quite annoying when i check a mail art message board to come accross so much stuff that is not mail art related. I beg the question; In setting up another board, would it suffer the same problems in time, with misuse and non topic stuff being posted?

No, there is a simple technique which bans specific people based on their I.P. address. It's very effective and only requires a little code.

Everyone else would see the website, but the banned person gets a 404 error.

I hope Merlin will do this, if not I'll start a new one. With this technology available there's no reason to let a spammer take over such as has happened here.

Hey SCI. SAM keep just staying here -

I will make the dust just clear.

There is a little kestrel upper right, a Mailglobe upper left,
and some Dragons hidden behind that that paper you see between.

This Board was made for Mailartists and is nothing without it.

Please stand by me my friend.
