COME AND ENJOY THE CONGRESS ON A BOAT
WHAT-WHEN-WHERE
Dear mail art friends,
we invite you to participate in our DNC =(DECENTRALIZED NETWORKING CONGRESS)
2004, to continue the tradition of 1986-1992-1998-2004, every 6 years. The
network needs its own theory.
Based on our Mail Art Accord 2001 from Jeju Peace Island under the mediation
of Jas Felter and Peter Netmail, there will be three 2-hour-discussions
here, guided by Ruud Janssen (1) and John Held jr (3)and one other mail
artist.
Newcomers to the mail art network are very welcome. You will meet here "old"
mail artists personally and can discuss with them, and have fun, too. Like
the great jubilee festival that we have just celebrated here on the 20th
anniversary of Mail Art Mekka Minden.Our congress takes place at Culture
Centre B?Z on the last weekend in April:
THE CONGRESS DISCUSSIONS:
(1) Saturday, 24 April, 10-12 hrs: internet and networking
(in our old church)
(2 )Saturday, 24 April, 14-16 hrs: open discussion
(on a riverboat)
(3) Sunday, 25 April, 10-12 hrs: mail art and money don?t mix - but may
touch (in our old church)
The discussions will be in English. Interpreters welcome. Angela bietet
Zwischen?bersetzungen auf deutsch an. Please send us your statements for the
Saturday discussions , if you like, and clearly marked as such, until 15
February 2004 (max 1 page), and we will hand them to every participant
before the congress starts. After the congress, we will publish the
discussion results in a brochure.

Friday, 23 April, 21 hrs: Artist Trading Cards Workshop and Exchange Fair
(at Culture Center B?Z)
Saturday, 24 April, stencil painting action JUBILEE FLY in the church
steeple by Sztuka Fabryka
19.30 hrs: Opening of the Mail Art Exhibition "1000 ENVELOPES" by Ruud
Janssen and Litsa Spathi
20.30 hrs: Performance Night : poetry, music, dada, anything you like to
contribute (on our stage).

Saturday, 24 April, 83o hrs and 12 hrs and 18 hrs at Robert-Nussbaum-House.
Sunday, 25 April, 83o hrs and 12 hrs at Robert-Nussbaum-House
The festival ends with lunch on Sunday.
COSTS:
We try to do our best again for you to make you feel well here. Since,
however, we get no more public funding, regrettably, we must ask you to
share costs with us. Costs for each participant are 100,00 ?uros. That
includes for each participant the congress documentation brochure plus all
meals .Send us a cheque, or ask us to send you an international form for
your bank, if you do not live in the European community.

ACCOMODATION:
Separately from the participation costs, that we have to raise from every
participant, we have for the first 20 applicants free beds in our dormitory
in the old church steeple in modernised rooms, very romantic. Please
understand that your bed will be reserved AFTER you apply for it AND AFTER
your payment has arrived here. Otherwise we can supply a hotel list for you
to book and pay your own accomodation .
