<HTML>I've been playing around with a new material -- corrugated plastic --
as a media for making postcards with. I made a trip to visit with a
company that makes many products with corroplast, and showed them
some examples of mail art utilizing their plastics. I asked them if
they could make postcard "blanks" in a couple of standard sizes. Eg.
4"x6" and 5"x7". They were quite receptive and agreed to do so.

These pieces of plastic are thin, ~2mm thick. They're very
lightweight, rigid, pH neutral and inert, making them fairly archival
quality. There are 13 colors available, but my preference so far, is
the clear.

While I was there at the manufacturing plant, they also gave me
enough free samples -- cut to size -- to last a lifetime. So I'd
like to share some of these with anyone of the members here that may
be interested in applying your own artistic talents to this plastic
material.

Send me a piece of your mail art, requesting samples, and I'll send
you a few pieces (in a decorated envelope, of course), until this
supply runs out.

For those of you who may just want to go ahead and buy some of the
plastic postcard "stock," you can order small quantities
(inexpensively) online. The URL is:

I've really had some fun with this stuff, and the possibilities seem
endless.

Enjoy!
