<HTML>This is a new project that I have thrusted on the planet.

I would like to personally invite you and your fellow artists to participate in a Mail Art exhibition of international contemporary design titled "little pieces exhibition" to be held in the New Wagner Gallery of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Edwardsville, Illinois, USA.

The goal of the exhibition is to assemble and showcase "pieces" of cutting edge ideas/imagery that may or may not be published or exhibited. It is my belief that assembling a collection of submitted work in a gallery documenting and publishing it on a web site, the planet can get a first hand, nearly instantaneous look at contemporary ideology in the minds of creative people involved in the design/art world. Contemporary image making has evolved at a blinding pace and is sometimes left empty and without soul. Where is it going? Are you or your company at the head of it? Or Have you created work that speaks volumes though has not seen the light of day? or has it? What does the future of design look like?

Send us a sample, a fragment of your thoughts.

Make it post card size and mail it to the "little pieces exhibition". (criteria for submissions is on the web site, PLEASE READ)

Deadline for submissions is SEPTEMBER 10, 2001
(International Submissions don't delay, the earlier the better)
Gallery Exhibition runs September 17 through October 12, 2001
Online Exhibition is immortal.

The exhibition is receiving international recognition. We have been linked off of [www.k10k.net,http] , [www.surfstation.lu]

Media sponsors of this event are [www.5pieces.com] and [www.factory512.com]
Many thanks to them.

All the advertising is being done electronically. A nice contrast to using postal service to participate. Also, a 28k .swf announcement is attached to be viewed with a FLASH player. The details and rules for the exhibition can be acquired at: [www.siue.edu] , a web site created to reach an international audience. A .pdf poster can be requested if you would like to print the information.

NOTE: Passing this information along to others is crucial to the success of the exhibition and would be very much appreciated.

This exhibition is sponsored by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, SIUE College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Art and Design, American Institute of Graphic Arts ? St. Louis Chapter and 2fold Creative.

Anxiously anticipating your submission(s) and many thanks,

Bill Klingensmith
