On Friday Jesus carried his own cross to the place of the Skull. Here the soldiers crucified him. Jesus? body was wrapped in linen and placed in a tomb.

On Sunday an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled back the stone of the tomb. The tomb was empty and the angel said, ?Do not be afraid. Jesus is not here; he has risen, just as he said.?
