"Art for Healing" will run in conjunction with the 2011 "Art Among Friends" Art Show . Artists and non-artists from around the world are invited to submit a postcard-sized piece of original mail art to us. There will be no jury, no fees and no return of artwork. All received mail art will be viewed by approximately 1,500 visitors during the 2011 Art Among Friends weekend. (September 24th & 25th, 2011). Our theme is “Art for Healing" and will draw attention to art as a natural force that promotes health and well-being of the creator as well as viewer by changing a person’s outlook and the way they experience the world.
Postcards submitted must be an original drawing, painting, collage, mixed media piece, poetry, or short story created by you and must fit on a standard postcard dimensions. (4 inches by 6 inches). The artwork on the postcard can be either horizontal or vertical.
