Subject: bizarre scam on your website!
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Merlin,
My name is Lisa H. and I look at your mailart website about once a week or
so, although I have only made one or two "official postings". I mostly
check for new, interesting mailart calls, and am not as interested in
opinions and debates. (my personal quality).
Anyway, I saw a strange and troubling reply to a call posted by Erica,
"Live your life in Freedom". It is an email from an alleged son of a
Sierra Leone finance minister who requires foreign bank account information
to move several million dollars in funds out of the country. The person
who gives their bank account information is promised a large sum of money
for their assistance. There are several similar internet scams centered
around political/military strife in an African nation, usually Nigeria or
Sierra Leone.
I don't know how this nasty thing got posted on a month-old call on your
website, and I don't think anyone in your inter-network is foolish enough
to respond to such poison.
However...you might want to erase the posting from your site, since it is
potentially harmful and NOT related to mailart!
I have found your site helpful and informative. Thanks for maintaining
it. Perhaps I will make more postings in the future?
I hope my English is not too...wordy for you. I don't know any
German. Deutsch
Cheers,
Lisa H.</HTML>
bonjour
