Making a Link 101

<HTML>I've been meaning to post a little primer on HTML for Merlin's board.
I hope this helps make it easier to add your link (if you want it <i>clickable</a>).
<img src="[art.net]; width="691"
height="443">
<p>
So . . . if I type the <b>basic code</b> exactly as the one in the example, you will see the following link:

<a href="[kiyotei.blogspot.com] Dog</a>

A hyperlink is underlined and normally a different color than the rest of the text. Clicking it will take you to another web page.
With a few exceptions, all underlined text is a hyperlink.

Things that will screw it up:
1. forgetting the quotation marks.
2. adding extra spaces.
3. typing in a bad URL.
4. forgetting the closing tag.

I'll post another primer on adding images and formatting text in the near future.

<HTML>oops - looks like I forgot a closing tag for my italic text.

Just ignore the <b>height="443"></b> reference and the rest of the primer is okay.
